Failed Claims Pharmacy Technician

Overview: The Failed Claims Technician contributes to the success of business strategy by collecting and entering broad based information required for timely and accurate processing of prescription orders for our members in support of the customer experience.

Responsibilities:
• Identifies prescription adjudication rejections and researches causes for the rejection
• Follows defined processes to resolve a variety of rejection types
• Maintains high levels of quality and production standards
• Builds Trust – Walks the talk; makes choices that are consistent with ethical principles; is emotionally intelligent; manages self and relationships effectively, through self-awareness, self-management, awareness of others and skill in dealing with others.
• Champions the Customer – Keeps closely attuned to the needs and perspectives of customers and uses this insight for the benefit of the business.

Education & Training:
Minimum qualifications include:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Demonstrated previous success as a pharmacy technician
• 2 years recent pharmacy experience

Candidates for this position must have the following competencies:
• Pharmacy – Understanding of medication related needs for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a members’ quality of life by providing high quality pharmaceutical consultation and services that foster the efficacy, safety and cost effectiveness of drug use for our customers and consumers.
• Customer Value Chain and Competitive Intelligence – Understanding of the competitive environment. Understanding of Humana’s business processes, systems, tools, regulations and structure and how they interrelate to provide products and services
• Basic Administrative Skills – Performs all administrative duties relative to his/her functional area; provides office-related administrative support, supplying pertinent information, maintaining files, scheduling appointments, initiating/editing correspondence, data entry, etc., as required.
• Sequential Organization – Is orderly, structured and efficient; arranges things in a systematic manner that promotes efficient management and control of a task or function.
