Hospital Claims Representatives :

Seeking experienced claims representatives for a growing healthcare receivables management company. Working on behalf of medical providers and patients, you will be responsible for working with insurance companies for prompt resolution and correct payment of medical claims. These positions are located in Irving, TX.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Primarily telephone communications with carriers to resolve claims
2. Documenting account information into the Health Information System and/or Hospital Patient accounting system
3. Generating letters and faxes for written correspondence with patients, employers and carriers
Skills and Abilities:
1. Customer service experience
2. Strong communication, documentation, and critical thinking skills essential
3. Strong problem solving and decision making skills
4. Strong typing and computer skills
5. Ability to work independently
6. An understanding of hospital billing and collections
Minimum Qualifications:
1. 4-6 years’ experience in hospital and/or insurance collections
2. Medicare experience
3. Type 40 WPM min.
4. Computer literate (office suite)
5. Experience with coding and billing; a plus
6. Experience with healthcare receivables, insurance claims, denials, and appeals processing, including ICD-9, CPT, HCPC codes, and UB and 1500 claims forms a plus

Medical Record Retrieval Specialist

Seeking Medical Record Retrieval Specialist to travel within their local city, county and region, as well as traveling to other states and markets on an as-needed basis to scan medical records into a secure system so they may be reviewed by medical record coding staff. Will travel up to 90% of the time. This travel will consist of driving to locations close to your home as well as driving or flying to locations that require overnight travel for up to a week at a time. You will use a laptop computer and portable scanner to retrieve sections of medical records which will be uploaded into a database.
Role Essentials :
1. You must be familiar with all aspects of a patient chart and the records in it to include progress notes, lab reports, radiology reports, etc…
2. You must be motivated, and organized, as you will be dealing with scheduling visits to physician offices which should never be cancelled once made.
3. Strong professional presentation skills.
4. Excellent organizational skills required.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
6. Excellent PC skills (including MS Word, Excel and Access) required.
Role Desirables :
1. College degree
2. Medical coding exposure or experience.
